The Daphne High School choirs went on a field trip to bring Christmas joy to the seniors at Westminster Village, a retirement home, and to the seniors at The Brennity an assisted living facility.

Bailey Cross, a DHS student who is part of the women’s ensemble and the show choir said “I’m thankful that we get to be the ones to bring joy to her hearts through music,”

Mrs. Mixon, the choir teacher, put together an arrangement of festive songs that the seniors would enjoy and sing along to. The performance included songs such as Winter wonderland, Patapan, Coventry carol, Oh Holy Night, Gaudete and Bidi Bom

“My favorite song is Merry Carol of the Bells because of the melody,” Shavon Grayson, a DHS show choir, and ladies ensemble participant said.

The DHS choirs moved the citizens and they left them in a festive spirit.

“There was a lady that was crying because we came,” Grayson said
