Today before school at 7:30 am, Daphne High School students, teachers, faculty, and staff gathered on the band field to take a picture to honor and show support for Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. Stoneman Douglas is the school in Parkland, Florida where a mass shooting occurred last month leaving 17 dead. DHS government and economics teacher, Tiffani Hudgins, organized the photo.

“Anyone can take a selfie and say that they stand with someone. This is taking the time to stand with students and teachers in solidarity. We want the community to see that we’re with Stoneman Douglas” said Hudgins.

“Hashtags, Twitter, and social media are great ways to have your voice heard”, said Hudgins.

The Air Force JROTC program also helped with the picture, using a drone to get full ariel coverage and take pictures.

DHS AFJROTC cadets use their training to fly a drone and take pictures of the gathering honoring Marjory Stoneman Douglas HS.
