How Can Sleep Affect Your School life

Not getting enough sleep at night leads to sleeping through the bell.

You may ask how the time you go to bed affects you so much during the day. If you are having trouble in school then it may be time to check your sleep habits. To thrive in school you have to have the energy and ability to focus, concentrate, and refrain from daydreaming. If you feel sleepy throughout the day, you might have trouble paying attention in class or you may even fall asleep.

Some students at Daphne High School notice that sleep can affect you. “Sleep can affect school by not getting enough sleep, and therefore you would fall asleep in class and not pay attention” said Autumn Strasser, a sophomore at Daphne High School.

In many cases if you stay up too late then you won’t focus in class. If you go to sleep early then you have a better chance of getting a good grade in your class. Some studies show that if you get a lot of sleep and then go to school it is proven to help you get better grades.

So next time you stay up on your phone, watching tv, or even playing video games think to yourself is it worth me not being able to focus in school or getting good grades.
