Ready or not the third quarter of the 2018-2019 school year is coming to an end. With the fourth quarter right around the corner here are some easy steps for you to prepare for the last quarter and end the year strong.
Learn from the past. If you’ve done something in the past three quarters that you did not like or that did not benefit you then learn from it and change it. Never let an old mistake that you brought you down in the past bring you down again. Now is the best time to take a mistake and make it right.
Prioritize your goals. You need to put your goals above everything. Take the opportunity of the new quarter to think of some goals and find out what you need to do to make the end of the year amazing. Make a list of everything you want to accomplish and organize them by importance.
Be intentional with what you’re doing. Do not just go with the flow hit it hard and do everything you can to make it the best quarter so far.
Organize. It is never too late to organize. Keep everything together so when the end draws near you have everything prepared and it shows you what you need to keep and what can hit the door.
Communicate with your teachers. Your teachers aren’t out to get you. Talk to them and see what you can do to get either that extra point or to bring up your grade just a little to where it needs to be.
Do everything you can. Whether its make up work or extra credit. Every point counts and the higher your grade is the easier it will be for you and the less stressed you will be when it comes time to say goodbye to this school year.
Keep on the relationships you’ve built. Keeps the friends that you’ve made close so that the best school year can lead to the best summer with the new friendships you have made. Also, keep on with the relationships you’ve made with your counselors and teachers this school year they can be very helpful and beneficial when the next school year comes around.
Don’t finish learning to quick. The school year may seem like it’s dragging on and you just want to zone out. BUT DON’T! Now is like anytime to learn. Keep trucking it and you will be glad that you didn’t shut down and when the end of the year comes you will finally get a break.
“To be honest, I’m very overwhelmed. I’ve let all of my classwork build up and soon my grade will be unfixable, ” Emma Roark, junior said.
