Today marks the first ever piece of the Chloe Column – a piece where we highlight members of Daphne’s study body.
Our first student is Abigail English, known to everyone as Abby. You might have heard of her due to the many activities in which she’s involved. English has been a homecoming maid for all three years she’s been at Daphne High School and is currently the Aqua Dogwood Trail Member. Along with that, she’s a Daphne Junior City Council member.
English is passionate about giving back to her school and community. She states, “It is my goal and passion to do anything and everything possible to create a positive and fun learning environment for my peers, and I will continue to do so until we graduate.” She is a part of Peer Helpers, National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society, Girl’s Service Club and Project Outreach. She is also the Junior Class President of SGA.
English has always had a knack for helping her community. Thinking back on her childhood, she says, “I have always been servant-hearted. I grew up in a Christian household where our core values are to love others like Jesus did. So I strive to do this every day!” People around her view her as a hardworking, big-hearted girl. English will put others first, and try to cheer up anyone who looks down. Her values are important to her heart which keeps her attitude upright and positive. The shining star of our school: Abby English!
