Sound of of the Eastern Shore is Victorious once more

This past Saturday October ,21 the Daphne High School’s Sound of the Eastern Shore was up and practicing at 6:45 am and then left at 8am to travel up to Opelika High School to perform in the Spirit of the South band competition.

 

Many of the band members enjoy going to  the competitions because people are there for us and not football.“I love the overall atmosphere, and everybody’s there to watch you perform” said Kaley Jones.

 

The band performed their 2017 show Survival of the Human spirit at 2:30pm for prelims and again at 8:30pm for finals. The band won best in class Color guard, Percussion and Drum major in prelims. The band won 1st as Grand Champions in finals.The band directors are Jamar Dumas and Michaela Vaughn.Drum Majors are Sarah Wilson and Elisa Koolman. Other staff includes Mark Foster , Marsha Foster, and Josh Harper.
