On October 3rd, students in FBLA went to Alabama’s Joint Leadership Development Conference (JLDC) in Mobile, Alabama.
With nearly 5,000 students in attendance, Alabama’s JLDC is the largest non-athletic gathering of students in the Southeastern United States. The goal of the conference is to give students the opportunity to learn employable skills.
At the entrance to the conference, students walked down a red carpet. Students then were greeted with a presentation from the presidents for their chapters. Lastly, the organizations split into groups and participated in networking activities. FBLA member Ashely Johnson said, “The networking activities really helped me to learn better communication, and I feel like it prepared me for future career opportunities.”
The convention ended with “guess the song” games and lunch.
