The Daphne High School Talent Show was full of talented students showcasing their talents. The top three were as follows:

  • 1st Place Makenna Pierce, a senior softball committee to Auburn

  • 3rd Place Jordan Carraway, a member of Air Force JROTC
The top three winners consisted of a variety of acts. Pictured from left to right are Jordan Carraway (3rd), Kierstan Watson (2nd), & Makenna Pierce (1st).

The top two, Makenna Pierce and Kierstan Watson, won the opportunity of competing in the Baldwin County Star Search Talent competition. There they will compete against students from all over Baldwin County to win prizes that could help them in pursuing a career in the arts. The event will take place on March 2nd at 6:30 pm in the Daphne Civic Center.

The talent show gives students of all types an opportunity to showcase their talents to the school. The judges were: Daniel Murphy, a DHS alumni; Gabe Willis a Paw Paw’s Medicine Cabinet band member; and Bambi from 93 BLX.

The judges ranged from DHS alumni to radio personalities. Pictured from left to right are Daniel Murphy, Bambi, & Gabe Willis.

Students that do not participate in the talent show cheer on their peers in the audience, sometimes even waving lights in the air in time to the music, to show support.

DHS students wave their flashlights along to the music.

“It was really enjoyable because I got to experience other people’s talents”, said DHS sophomore Jacob Latham

The DHS show choir performed as well during the intermission.
