“My mother was a teacher, she taught 12th grade government and econ. I didn’t want to teach but I always loved history. So, I went and got my degree in HIstory. What do you do with a degree in History? So I went back to school and got my Masters in in education and for my first year as a teacher I taught the 7th grade. I spent ten years teaching in Middle school and I loved it. I love teaching now but it just wasn’t an interest of mine before. Since I started teaching I have always wanted to teach government and econ and this is the first year I get to.”
